A few small pods may loosen in transit — that's normal. If a piece is heavily damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery for a replacement.

Under a covered porch, yes — direct rain and full sun will damage it quickly. Indoors lasts much longer.

Most ristras use chile pequin or similar small, brightly-colored dried chiles. Wreaths often use larger Hatch-style pods. Variety is noted in the product description.

Mildly — a soft, smoky-chile aroma when fresh. The scent fades over a few months indoors. Some people love it; if you're sensitive to smells, hang in a ventilated area.
