The Proof Is in the Chile
I ordered my Ristra after visiting Sante Fe NM. They are everywhere as decorations but hard to find to buy. The Ristras that I'd seen looked a lot different than the one I received from Hatch Chilli. I was surprised how plump and full and rich in color. I had it treated so not edible. I placed it where the morning sun hits it. 😊

These ristras are well made and beautiful. We enjoy them hanging in our kitchen window. The ristras were packed well and arrived in great condition.
This is quite possibly the most beautiful ristra I have ever seen. Each pod, so red and vibrant, and the coating was masterfully done to preserve it for longer. It’s full, vibrant, and brings so much life into the room. Thank you.
Ristra & Wreath FAQs
A few small pods may loosen in transit — that's normal. If a piece is heavily damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery for a replacement.
Under a covered porch, yes — direct rain and full sun will damage it quickly. Indoors lasts much longer.
Most ristras use chile pequin or similar small, brightly-colored dried chiles. Wreaths often use larger Hatch-style pods. Variety is noted in the product description.
Mildly — a soft, smoky-chile aroma when fresh. The scent fades over a few months indoors. Some people love it; if you're sensitive to smells, hang in a ventilated area.
Yes — these are a signature New Mexico gift, especially during the holidays. They ship well, look striking, and carry a piece of Hatch Valley tradition.
