The Proof Is in the Chile
Simply amazing and addictive. Taste buds love it!
This ketchup is Awesome! It has heat and spicy flavor that will be sure to enhance, french fries, meatloaf or on its own! Great flavor!
I could hardly believe how thick the ketchup is. I have never used a knife to spread it on a hamburger. It has a great flavor. However, a little bit goes a long way due to the heat factor.
I've used the "Hatchup" on everything from burgers to Sloppy Joe's & it does not disappoint. I also use it on pasties(a meal in one brought to the UP of Michigan by Cornish miners). Love the savoriness & the kick of the chilies w/everything I try it on. I highly recommend this condiment to everyone who loves ketchup.
I can’t wait to try the mustard and relish! The spicy ketchup is delicious! Everyone at work loves it!!
Very delicious and love the kick! My new favorite! Fabulous on eggs, burgers, hot dogs, fries, you name it!!
Very good ketchup with a slight kick. Could be just a bit sweeter for my taste, but a good substitute for regular ketchup.
Best tasting hatchup I ever had, I will definitely be ordering more
super item at a super price
Another excellent, excellent product!!
As a displaced person who grew up in New Mexico, I miss the Chili. I bought a jar as it sounded interesting and we are not disappointed. Like my wife said, it has the right amount of zing. Have had it on burgers, green Chili cheese of course, and fries and enjoyed every bit of the hatchup.
This is a very tasty and delicious ketchup - with robust tomato flavor, but also with the Hatch Chile 'kick'. It's not overly spicy - just enough to make it a great addition to any table. I recently used it as a garnish for some crab cakes - delicious!
The Hatchup is a very unique blend of chili and catchup. I really like it with hot dogs. I haven’t tried it yet with other things. I don’t usually use any condiments except green chili. I will be using Hatchup with burgers, fries and other things. Thanks for thinking of the blend.
I have not tried this spicy ketchup. It was a gift for my son, though, and he loves it.
We absolutely LOVED this Hatchup! I used it in an Instant Pot Chicken recipe (substituted Hatchup for Ketchup and Red Chile Flakes) and it was outstanding! We'll be ordering this again very soon!
Sauces & Salsas FAQs
Same chile, different ripeness. Green chile is harvested before it ripens — bright, vegetal, slightly grassy. Red is the same chile left on the plant to fully ripen — sweeter, deeper, more raisin-like. Both have the same baseline heat for their variety. Red is the traditional choice for tamales and Christmas pork; green is what most people associate with breakfast burritos and Hatch cooking.
Ingredient lists vary by product — check the label on this page. Most of our sauces use only chile, salt, vinegar, garlic, and spices. None of our sauces use artificial colors or flavors.
Most are. A few of our condiments (like specific BBQ sauces) may contain trace gluten — always read the label or contact us if you have a sensitivity. We don't run a dedicated gluten-free facility, so cross-contact is possible.
Medium Hatch chile runs 2,000–7,000 SHU; Big Jim, our most common Medium variety, measures approximately 6,500 SHU per NMSU CR706 (our pods often a touch milder). For reference, jalapeños run 2,500–8,000 SHU, so Medium overlaps jalapeño heat. Our Medium has presence — you'll feel it — but it doesn't overwhelm the dish. It's the heat level most repeat customers order.
Our jarred sauces, salsas, and condiments are produced at our New Mexico facility (Amigo's Mexican Foods, USDA-inspected, family-owned since 1978) or by trusted Hatch Valley partners. Every batch starts with real Hatch chile.
