It was mild enough my wife could eat it. She loves chili but meds she's on she can't stand any heat. Flavor was great. You can tell it is fresh by the bright red color not like a lot of chili that has been run through a drier.
It's very delicious and its served well in our tamale recipe and we had enough to season other foods/dishes...add salt is the only "bad" thing I can say. A little thinner.
This is my favorite product. While I do make my own Red Chile with their chile pods, I can't get to this smoothness/consistency of the jarred version. Ten stars!
