This was my first time ordering fresh Hatch chilies but it absolutely will not be the last. Can't wait until time to order next season. Will be buying lots more than 5 lbs and want to try the hotter ones.
I make chile rellenos a lot and these were the best ever.

Although we are HUGE Hatch fans, this batch was very difficult to peel after charring. We have never had much trouble, but these skins did not want to release from the peppers! I’m sure they will taste wonderful, but we ended up with much less useable chilis.

Ordered these months back and couldn't wait for the season to start and these to ship out. When they did go out, shipping was very fast. They arrived in a simple box and in very good condition, only a small amount of bruising. There were a LOT of chilis so I roasted a third and processed the rest to be frozen for longer viability. They are delicious! Made the best green chili of my life and I throw the frozen chilis into all sorts of cooking--stews, soups, etc. I also purchased the jar of roasted red and green chilis and they are wonderful! Thank you!!

A co-worker recommended that I try out "The Hatch Chile Store" for my next hatch chile fix. I am so glad I did. The peppers were a lot bigger then the ones you see in the store and seemed to have a more spicier pepper flavor. The box came in safe and with no damages. We did not get a chance to roast them right away about 2 days from receiving them and did not have any issues with the chiles being bruised.

Box sent Priority USPS and box was damaged and leaking. Previous order sent in vented rigid corrugated box and well packed. You have other competitors now. Not sure if I would reorder or try some one else. This is my 2nd review with no response. I understand it was delayed due to weather harvest, but it took nearly 7 days to arrive by priority mail. Not happy…

What are you kidding? This is the worlds best chili. I sent 1/2 to my closest friend both of us lived in LA for 20 years and adored them. I discovered them in the early 80s while working in Santa Fe. I have now turned on family and friends. I wish I had order 25 lbs. There is no other chili. Period.

This is my second year ordering green chiles. Great communication. I was notified when they shipped and was able to track them. FedEx held them for a day
in my town making it a three day instead of two day delivery, but the chiles still arrived in good condition! Highly recommend pre-ordering fresh green chiles!

Hatch Green Chili Store sent me a box of 10 pounds of medium "Big Jim" green chilies. They blistered very well when I roasted them in my oven and they peeled easily. I yeilded 3 quarts from 10 pounds of fresh green chilies. This is my fifth year mail ordering geen chilies from the Hatch Green Chili Store.

I received my Hatch green chili as a Mother’s Day gift. It is especially great for me as we moved to Florida and we just can’t find it here. We roasted the Chili’s, then had chili rellenos with green chili sauce, huevos ranchers, burritos and tamales and a recipe from your website, quiche with green chili and bacon…yum! All and all it is fabulous!

Whoa, these babies are hot! I prefer the medium heat but hubby likes it hot, so I ordered 5 lbs of both medium and hot this year. Both were very tasty after roasting! A word of caution on the hot. I failed to put on gloves while I was peeling and deseeding the roasted hot ones. Didn’t notice while working with them, but when I was done my right hand was really burning and tingling!! I won’t make that mistake again. The medium heat ones did not bother me while working with them ungloved. They are now in the freezer waiting to be used for future meals

Just finished roasting up our first 10# order of Sandia chilis. Got in on the discount preorder opportunity. Great chilis this year, nice size and the flavor and heat are spot on. In fact ordered another 10# to get a good stash for the upcoming year. Roast them, seal and coll, then vacuum seal about 6-8 chilis per bag. Defrost, peel and remove seeds and your ready for some great eating.
