The smell coming off the box upon it's delivery was amazing. As we opened the box to grill them I noted some looked gnarled and vaguely poisonous and we were not disappointed. Peeling it in the kitchen cleared the room of all other life forms. It was as hot as I had hoped. Cheers on a great harvest! Thank you for shipping a piece of home to the Pacific Northwest.

Excellent delivery and excellent chilies. These chilies are not for those who don't want intense heat. They are HOT. They are excellent for enchiladas, salsa, on burgers and other sandwiches. Love them.

Love the hatch chile's! My only complaint is how much the shipping costs. It wasn't listed where you order the chile's, and I was surprised by how much it was.

The chile was ono delicious, but I had it delivered to Kauai, Hi the hatch store sent it right away called Monday they sent it Tues but UPS 2 day shipping turned out to be 4 full days shipping b/c they held it up for agriculture inspection. Which is something UPS local warehouse couldn't do anything about then I am last stop on the island but like "Castaway" I finally received it. About 4 chiles were mush, but the rest were ok but 1 more day it would have been all mush. Luckily we could roast it immediately. I recommend that maybe UPS might not be worthy of your business. B/c when I called the local hub they were rude & even hung up on me. Tracking said it was out for delivery when it was not. When I called they made excuses about Ag inspection but then they called next day after I complained to main office about them & they said they had messed up b/c of lack of employees & forgot to put my box on the truck the day before. They were even so dumb to say why did I live on the last street on the island. If I were you I would report UPS bad service to your client. Thinking of getting on the monthly subscription but afraid of the bad delivery service. Mahalo!

There is no reason to order less than 25 lbs. of Fresh Hatch Chiles. For some reason, FedEx couldn't deliver my order on the day it was scheduled or the next day, so they disposed of it. The Hatch Chile Store was wonderful about sending a replacement. My order arrived this past week, and I roasted them the next day. These Chile peppers are delicious, and my family and neighbors can attest. When I roasted them on my propane grill, I added Cherry and Mesquite wood chips/chunks to add a smoky flavor - a tip I learned from Cowboy Kent Rollins. That added smoke enhances the flavor of these Chile peppers. On Monday, I used the Chile peppers in Kent's Chicken and Green Chile Chimichanga recipes. Also, The Hatch Chile Store has plenty of recipes on this website. Do yourself a favor and order 25 lbs. today. You be happy that you did! As Kent would say, "See you down the Hatch Chile Pepper Trail."

We ordered last year with no problem. They arrived perfect! This year however is a different story. We preordered, got an email with/tracking # and told they would arrive 8/24, they arrived 9/1 and most green chillis were red. They told me I should have overnighted, it wasn't their fault. I won't order from them again next year :(

Was pleased wirh how quickly the chili got here, the chili was very fresh. There were some pale chilies mixed in, I am used to dark green. There were also a few that were not as meaty, so shrank to nothing after peeling- the peeling stuck more to those after roasting. Otherwise very pleased. The price was pretty high, after shipping was included- almost $3.75 a pound. But since I have no other option to get these, I was willing to pay.

My batch showed up a little more red than i would have preferred, but I understand the tricky timing for shipping. I am grateful to have found a resource. I roasted them the day after I received them and they were still fresh and firm. the meat was a little thin, but flavor was great. I will order again.

We Ordered 25 lbs of the Sandia g/76 fresh green chile. We had it shipped two day to Massachusetts with no problems. I only found one chile that had a slight mar, but it was eaten right after i roasted peeled and bagged it and all its little friends. Chile has nice heat-little bite but not over the top and of course, great flavor. We do this every year but it was our first time ordering from Hatch Chile Store and we are very satisfied with our order. Thank-you

This is the second time I have ordered Hatch chiles, they have come fresh and beautiful, liked they were picked that day, they make the best salsa and I will be ordering more next season.

Arrived in reasonably good condition given 2-day air and going all the way across the country. Very low throw-away count. But very mild this year, not even close to the warmth I typically get from Joe Parkers. Peeled and processed all 25lbs without gloves and could still forget and rub my eyes later that day without noticing. Flavor is totally there though. Great tasting chile rellanos just really mild on heat.
Ordered another 10lbs of Lumbre with hopes to mix in to get the desired medium heat making sauce and enchiladas over the course of the year. We shall see… those just arrived today.

My box arrived almost in perfect condition, but after roasting it I found that it wasn't hot at all. After the 3rd batch I discovered 2 hot ones. I'm kinda disappointed with this year's crop, last year's was so much hotter! My family and I will still eat them.

It was stated in your ad that the Big Jim's were larger, approximately 8" to 14", but when I received the box 80%-85% of the box contained chilies that were only 3" to maybe 5" in length. This is FAR from what is advertised and too small for making good Chili Rellenos, I was VERY Disappointed.

I really appreciate being able to order my favorite chiles, the Big Jims. Since it is not sold in Santa Fe anymore, I was devastated! Happy now!

My mild chile is hotter than last year! I know it can depend upon the weather. Also, chiles not as large. I saw that you have two varieties now of mild...last year only Joe Parkers. Are the others hotter and not as large? I would prefer the Joe Parkers. But they are still very good!

Our boxes (1 each mild and medium) were definitely reversed. The mild were medium heat and the medium were mild heat. We tested several in each box after roasting and that is what we found. The chiles were in good condition and are tasty. Just mixed up.
