Great batch had about a dozen spoiled chilies. So far the taste is perfect and the hot isn't unbearable. Very good flavor. Very satisfying wish I had ordered more than 25lbs!!

I liked them! I've always ordered the smaller hot ones before (Barker) , and although very good, they were volcanic with heat. A little went a long way. My only mistake was buying one quart freezer bags and they are too long to pack them in there. So next year I'll order gallon size bags so they can lay out instead of having to be folded up.

Pre-Ordered a 25# box and a couple weeks later they arrived, nicely packed in a perforated shipping box. We opened the box to be greeted by the scent of warm fresh Hatch Chile. The next morning, the air was perfumed with the glorious aroma of roasting Chile as we charred the skins on our gas grill! I've missed that smell! All I need now is some pinon!

I received a big box of Big Jims all in excellent condition. Not a single pepper lost to damage or spoilage. We used to be able to get chilies like these in the grocery store when we lived in Tucson Arizona or just make the 4 hour drive to Hatch New Mexico during harvest. However, here in Iowa, I don't think that they have ever seen peppers of this size and quality. The heat is perfect and not overwhelming allowing you to enjoy that great flavor. You will pay a little more for these but it will be money well spent.

Great batch or excellent chile. Out of the 50 lbs, only a handful were damaged in shipment and started to spoil. Very flavorful, and great aroma during roasting! Large, meaty chiles, perfect for rellenos or casseroles, but also great rolled up in a warm tortilla with a little butter and touch of salt.

Hatch chiles are hands down the best chiles anywhere. But the chiles this year were not quite as good as last year. They were harder to peel and not as fresh. They had good flavor though and were spicy hot. We assumed it was the weather that made them a little bit of a B chiles compared to last years A plus! We will be back next year for our 50 lbs!!

I am sorry to say that I was a bit disappointed with this year's chile. Out of the 25 pounds I received, about 3 pounds was either rotten or red. The rest of the chile was fine.

Big Jim's are really tasty chiles. They are spicy and can be hot. They are of a good size so you get a lot of chile. They are not as hot as Sandias, which were sometimes too much heat. The two can always be mixed together....

By selection the pre-order option, it was exciting to keep looking for notification that the order shipped. When it did, they arrived on time, and in good shape. We had them shipped to our post office and the staff all said they smelled delicious! We roasted them right away and the smell reminded us of NM. Delicious!

Having been to NM I've come to love green chiles. The Big Jim is a medium heat Chile to NEW MEXICANS! Others might consider them hot.Their flavor over rides the heat factor.Roast them on a HOT grill to blacken the skins.Put them in zip lock or food saver bags and freeze. When thawed they peel easily.Rub the seeds out with your fingers or not if you like hotter.(wear nitrite glover if you're sensitive).Get on the net and find some green Chile cheeseburger or green Chile stew recipes and have at it. The flavor is wonderful and your'e not going to get it anywhere else.My ultimate fave is green Chile Apple Pie. Heaven on Earth. Go Green. Go Hatch! Being a Wisconsinite I almost said Go Pack. The shipping process was painless.I received numerous emails on order status. Great service and a great product!

Thank you for this opportunity! We are thrilled with the chiles, New Mexico Gold Salsa, and Gourmet Green Chile Sauce. The salsa is wonderful and I have made the recipe on the side of the Green Chile Sauce for Easy and Healthy Green Enchilada Casserole. I added 1 1/2 Joe Parker chiles to the recipe placing some of the chopped chiles on each layer. The recipe was absolutely wonderful! I also like to saute onion, garlic, and chopped chiles to go along with grilled steak. I look forward to making some of the recipes on your website too! Having grown up in New Mexico I was excited to get some home grown chile, however, I was very disappointed. Ordered a 25lb box of big Jim, half of the box was big Jim, the rest was filled with smaller chile and pieces of chile. Looked like leftover pieces that had been gathered up. Roasted chiles immediately after receiving, little flavor and not very hot, appears as though picked too early. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend ordering again.
