This was my first order from the Hatch Chile Store and they were great! I roasted them and froze for winter use. I did select expedited shipping, but unfortunately had a few chilies that had gone bad.

Chili was great except for the 6 rotten chilis you packed with my fresh chilis. Very disappointed. It's questionable whether to order from you or others in the future.

I have already reported on this shipment along with comments about the Big Jims. Between a fourth and a third of the Sandias were immature. Skins were not smooth and shiny but small ridged and thin walled. Somebody was careless and rushed the harvest there. A roasted immature chili doesn't yield much, as you well know. My first order was close to ideal but the second one disappointing. I don't expect any action on your part. We were Arizona farmers for many years and know the business is hard. Take care. As soon as I received the peppers I charred them on my gas grill, steamed them in paper bags skinned them and removed stems and seeds. I froze the majority for winter use by drying on paper towels and placing them flat in Ziplock bags. Peppers were excellent, made Green Chili Cheeseburgers and with Scrambled Eggs. Overall a very good experience!

Just finished roasting another 10# of Sandia Hot, vacuumed sealed and in the freezer for use with our wild game meals.
Goes great with Elk, Mule deer, Axis deer, and the wild hogs we harvest.
A fantastic taste of home here in NorCal.

About Hatch chiles: Everyone must try Hatch chiles at least once. They're delicious and have a flavor that no other chile can beat.

Good flavor, medium heat, needs more chicken and chile. Each tamale has only about 1 tablespoon of filling, which is probably very authentic.

The green chili is wonderful I've ordered it the past two years and I will continue to order it every year moving forward!!! Even the FedEx man that delivered my shipment came back two days later and said his truck still smells of it I gave him a fresh bag of roasted green chiles for his efforts and he loved it..

After pre-ordering 50 lbs, I was disappointed with the freshness of the chiles that were delivered. I paid for expedited shipping and retrieved them within an hour of delivery. The majority of the chile was limp. Some of the pods were on such bad shape that I find it hard to believe that they were hand picked. A co-worker ordered after you indicated that harvesting had begun and his chile was beautiful and firm. I saved 15%, but I'm not impressed with the quality.

These peppers made the best hot sauce! I think they should switch to wax lined boxes like beef comes in though. A few peppers were trash due to crushing by UPS and the box was mushy. By all means buy them anyway!

When the 5 pounds we ordered arrived, we found 4 chiles that had completely spoiled. Not good but the others are fine. From now on we will purchase from a store when thery arrive fresh. I don't think we would trust another mail order. They weren't preserved or wrapped in any way, just thrown in a box.
