I have been ordering 25 lbs. of Med. Green chile for the past 4-5 years.
In years past i have been very pleased with the overall quality.
This year, however, the 2-day shipment arrived with about 15-20% damaged chiles.
When i placed this order i specified that i didn't mind waiting until later in the season as i was told that the chiles would be larger and meatier vs. earlier in the season. In actuality, the chiles overall in this year's shipment were not nearly as large or meaty as the prior years.
My inclination was to rate this shipment just 2 stars (poor), but given my positive experience with your product in the past and the overall pleasant customer service that you always provide, am rating this shipment as acceptable (though barely so).
Just thought you would want to know of my disappointment as compared to prior years. Thanks for listening. -- Ira Friedman, New York

My annual self-indulgence arrived fresh and tasty again this year! I have a few to my boss with the caveat that XTRA HOT means extra hot! I’m drying a few and freezing most of them to add to dishes throughout the year. It’s so nice to have a taste of home.

I placed a pre-order back in late June early July. I then got an email that I could request shipment for mid August when chile is at its peak and biggest. I put in that request then was notified that my chile would ship sometime after mid August first come first serve. It's now September 7 and I have yet to receive any chile. I called a week ago and was told it would be another week, maybe 2. It's been a week since then so I am guessing I will be....maybe...getting my chile September 15 or later, which is getting towards the end of season when chile is turning red. Certainly does not seem like I will be getting the biggest peak season chile...and if my shipment is half red I will not accept it....

I can't get enough of these Chile Rellenos. I absolutely love them. They are so good and what you can get in NM. I live in Florida and they don't make Chile Rellenos with Hatch Green Chiles nor do they have the batter right. I'm so happy I found these. Also, the customer service is outstanding and will answer all your questions. I highly recommend these.

I ordered a 10# box of medium chilies on Sunday night and the arrived the following Friday afternoon. I opted for the 3 day shipping(I am Cheap) and there were a few that were wilted but only 2 or 3 and they got roasted all the same. I roasted over charcoal and are very tasty.
Next time I am going after the hot ones.

This was a replacement box for my initial box of medium peppers that arrived with the bottom layer rotten/rotting all were very heated from the long trip that I paid extra to have arrive cooler.
I called and explained and sent photos. It was agreed to send a replacement box- mild at husbands request.
At the end of the roasting day my hands were so burned I could not continue. We looked at box it said HOT ON ALL SIDES. Label said mild
ordered
I handle jalapeño and ancho and Serrano routinely without blistering my hands
Quality control issues?
Next year I’ll buy at HEB or Ce break Market most likely. I wanted to can a bunch. That did not happen.

Moving to SC sucks in the sense I said goodbye to green chile. No one here knows what it is, or has ever heard of it. Finding Hatch Chile Store was a godsend. The chile is always fresh and in great condition/quality. The flavor is amazing. I used a competitor , prior, and Hatch Chile Store is by far the best, wise, and quality wise.

Love the Chile's! I've ordered for several years now once I found The Hatch Chile Store online. They arrive fresh and so aromatic, takes me back to New Mexico.
I only had one small disappointment this time and it was due to my address change. I was able to provide an updated address 4 days before shipment was going out. Unfortunately 2 labels were placed on the order and the package was mailed to my old address. I lost maybe a dozen peppers and salvaged the remainder of the 10 pounds. No one to blame but myself and I will continue to order those wonderful Chile's.

My box of chiles arrived super fresh. They are very mild as advertised. Prepared on the BBQ and yielded 7 bags of chiles ready for a serving of salsa. Just a simple blending of the chiles tomatillo, cilantro, a little onion and lime juice and salt to taste make an out of this world salsa.

This was our third time ordering peppers from your company and, while the peppers themselves were great, the delivery service took almost a week to deliver them so they were not too fresh when we received them. Luckily, we were able to roast almost all of them and only lost two to rot.
