I've been using the Hatch Chile Store since I moved from New Mexico 9 years ago. It seems that, no matter what I get, hot, medium or mild, it's always fresh and the heat it as advertised. Always.

I rarely write reviews. Fresh and frozen Hatch Green Chiles have been arriving at my door for the last 4 or 5 years and I have never been dissatisfied, EVER!! If there were any issues customer service would take care of the issue immediately. I love my hatch green Chile’s, living out east it is nice to have fresh Chile’s delivered to my doorstep.

My order arrived on time and in great shape, I only recently found hatch chili peppers living in Ohio they were never available, after finding them in small amounts in a local store I had to have more and ordered them, I used them to make fermented jalapeno hatch hot sauce which turned out amazing, I will be ordering more next season

The customer service is great. The chilies arrived in great shape. We have had green chilis in all our meals..haha. I’m from New Mexico and now live in Vermont and it is really memorable to have a taste of home.

i bought these as base for my first ever attempt to make chili paste at home (FWI…Ohio, so hot chilies are not common) . am very happy with the flavor and quality. Hot variety was not as hot as i expected, but still very satisfied with the product. i will continue to but more chilies The Hatch Chili Store.

Good shipping, great taste. However, ordered “medium”-spice chile that had no spice, at all. Either I was shipped “mild,” instead. Or this year’s crop, 2022, was very, VERY mild. I know your website said the crop was running mild; but when medium has no spice, I’d like to know.

There was a slight delay in the initial shipping due to a big rain storm but they communicated well and when they did ship out the peppers they were excellent! Very fresh and great flavor. I will definitely be getting another batch next year

I live in the mid south east now so they don’t have it here, but always loved the flavor of hatch green chili ,it has a flavor all its own! Plus I always loved the smell while roasting it on the grill in the fall !!

The chili was great but it took two and a half weeks to get to me, ordered it on a Saturday and you only mail on Tuesday which was missed the next Tuesday it was rained out didn't receive it till that following Friday you should mail out more days than just Tuesday

I don’t like leaving bad reviews, but …
* Aug. 30: I order 25 lbs. of lumbre green chile
* Sept. 5: I get the shipping confirmation
* Sept. 7: I get an email saying they couldn’t ship it after all, but it will be prioritized to ship out the following week
* Sept. 17: I wait 10 days before replying to say that the order never shipped, and ask for an ETA (which is my preference) or a refund
* Sept. 20: I never hear back, so I call customer service and am sent to voicemail, where I leave a message including my [redacted reference] phone number.
* Sept. 21: They call back but don’t leave a message. I call back and am sent to voicemail. I call back again later, a guy picks up, says yeah they haven’t been able to send it out yet, but it’ll def go out next week … probably. He says, “We emailed you an update this morning.” I say I didn’t get anything. He says, “Yeah, you did.” (I did not, and I checked my spam folder)
* Oct. 10: I see that they have stopped offering lumbre on their site, and it’s getting late in the season, which makes me worry that they’re going to just ship me a box of mild red chile instead. So I call and request a refund. They promptly issue the refund, but again tell me they’ve sent me weekly updates explaining the delay. I again say I haven’t received any communication.
I’ve used them for a few years without a problem, but now I’m kinda screwed for green chile this year, so I can’t imagine I’ll feel comfortable relying on them again.

The service is great, they communicated with me about the shipment and kept me informed, and the 25lbs chiles I received are mostly fine. However, I find the chiles are not as fleshy. After I roasted them, they had barely any flesh left on them, it's mostly skin. They were still tasty but I am very disappointed.

These Hatch green chiles are delightfully delicious. The first time we tried them at a restaurant in 2003 in New Mexico, we were hooked! (In the past, we've tried the Colorado Hatch chiles, but for some reason, they did not taste the same.) We've tried these New Mexico Hatch green chiles in both "HOT" and "MEDIUM". The "HOT' kicks butt; it gives a kind of "high" after a meal that hubby loves. We just tried the "MEDIUM" which is a pleasant-hot. Both these Hatch chilies have a unique aroma and flavor like no other. Roasting them aromatizes our home! They make our home-cooked meals extra special. For the very first time, we are going to try the "MILD". Customer service is SUPER.

Came quickly by regular shipping to Pa. Very fresh and not a wrinkled one in the bunch. BUT .. I ordered hot and they had no heat at all. None!! I was very disappointed .. I could have bought just plain green peppers at my local grocery store .. a whole lot cheaper and would have saved the $37.50 that I paid in shipping.

This was an excellent batch of rellenos! We made a tasty sauce from some of the hot green chiles we roasted a few weeks ago, and had a wonderful New Mexico dinner. We'll order more when these are all gone.

I ordered fresh Hatch Green Chile in 2020 and roasted it myself in my own roaster. The wonderful smell alone was enough to bring back memories of living in Albuquerque. The chiles were beefy, lots of flesh, great heat level. In 2021, I planted my own peppers from seeds purchased from the Sandia Seed company. Believe it or not, my Hatch chile pepper harvest was excellent! Even though I live in Florida, the plants did very well. My 2022 harvest was very small due to extra hot, dry weather conditions so I decided to supplement by ordering fresh Hatch Chile from your company. Unfortunately, the fresh Hatch Green Chile I purchased recently did not live up to my expectations. Once roasted, the peppers had very thin flesh and because of that, were difficult to peel. The peppers also had so many seeds. Luckily the flavor and heat level are very good. That is why I gave you 3 stars.

I’m so glad that I found you guys, Originally From El Paso, Tx, now living in Florida. I never imagined it would be so hard to find Hatch Green chile, it only sells once a year. When I got my box the chiles were in excellent condition. I roasted and froze most and I must say was so worried that with hurricane Ian they would spoil from not having electricity. But they survived 🥰 Thank you so much

These are so good! Worth every cent. My mother learned how to make chiles rellenos about 65 years ago from a Mexican lady she used to work with and I used to make them myself. These have all the flavor and none of the mess, not to mention burned fingers. I still use the soupy brothy sauce from that old recipe to this day. I will definitely keep ordering these!
