The chiles were basically mush. I could not make any thing with them. The mild were great but I wasted $50 on hot.

This is our 3rd year ordering fresh hatch green chile. I’m originally from New Mexico but live too far away now to really enjoy the fabulous food. But I enjoy cooking several dishes myself and these chiles make it perfect. I’ve never had a bad chile in the batch. Outstanding!!

First 75 pounds I bought this year of Sandia Hot had great flavor and just the right heat. The last 25 pounds I bought was terrible. It was a lot darker green chili that roasted poorly, had no flavor and was extremely hot. Called them and told them I thought they sent me the wrong chili. They asked me if I took a picture of it and I hadn’t. They told me there was nothing they could do about and hung up. I called back and left another message and they didn’t call me back. So much for customer service on that last 25 pounds of chili.

For me, the rellenos have way to much batter and the taste is a bit off putting. It overpowers the taste of the Anaheim pepper and cheese which is very good. I fried several completely thawed rellenos in sufficient canola oil to cover a 10” skillet. It was an excellent result except for the breading. After peeling it off, the chiles and cheese were allowed to deliver their goodness. Starting with a slightly thawed relleno did not work well for me. Completely thawed works best in my opinion.

I eat Anaheim, jalapeño and poblanos in some combination 7 days / week. Not that I am an authority but I do know great chiles when I taste them. Green chile stew and poblano rellenos are my go to food at home and when we eat out. I think I am addicted.

I may try your roasted Anaheim's sometime.

My chile order was handled very well. Packaging and shipment were excellent. I only wish that I had been able to buy medium-hot chiles. The mild chiles were rather bland for my taste. That may be because I used to live in New Mexico and developed a taste for the real deal. But now that I live in Pennsylvania,I am glad this service is available. Go Lobos!

I am very pleased with Chile. I grew up in New Mexico and we grew Chile our selves, I am amazed at how fast and how fresh the order arrived. I began roasting immediately, and with in minutes the aroma took me back home. I shared a portion of my green Chile enchiladas with my neighbor and they absolutely loved it. My sincerest thanks for your dedication to maintaining a wonderful tradition to our Herat age. Dan. Native of the Rio grande valley.

Never received my order.
After one week got an email that there was a delay and my order was prioritized for the next weeks delivery. After two more weeks with no chile, I emailed asking about my order. Received a reply that my chile was on the way with a tracking number. After three more days Hatch Chile Store cancelled the delivery with no explanation. Didn't even call or email. Now I get this survey asking how my order was.

Honestly, this batch is tasteless and it has no heat. I think perhaps it was an early harvested batch, but we've never received such Hatch peppers in the past. The peppers themselves were shipped w/ care and were in excellent condition but our green chili and other dishes have literally no kick. We do hope next year to order later in the season in hopes the peppers are more tastey and hotter than the medium ones we recently received. TY.

We hadn't had fresh chili's since we moved to place that didn't have them. We saw an add on one of the social media sites. So we decided to try having them shipped since shipping was free and they looked so good. We love them!! We have had them several times in our dishes. So tasty.

I purchased these for my crew at work that love green chilies but have not heard of the celebration you all do in New Mexico and this particular brand of green chilies. I have always loved green chilies but didn’t know the history until I started researching a few years ago. I purchased a box of chilies last year and decided to share some with my work crew this year. These chilies went over extremely well even to some that do not normally care for them. The quality was allot better than what we can get in the grocery store’s in my area and that was a major victory for us. Not sure if any of these folks will actually order from you all but I am sure I will in the future, I can’t go back to grocery store standard. They gang loved them.
