I use these in my tamales pie and a green Chile stew I make. They are great. All I do is remove most of the seeds and veins.

The green chili arrived frozen in packages of 12. Next time I make rellenos I will leave in a few more seeds so the chili is a bit hotter. I am very pleased and a NM will be able to survive living on the east coast having chili to spice up her life. Thanks!

Delicious! I'm a Texan who made frequent visits to New Mexico as a child and think of the cuisine as an almost magical ideal that I'm always trying (and often failing) to recreate, but The Hatch Chile Store has made my attempts a little easier :). I ordered a pound of frozen green chile on my first order to try this service out - the peppers were not fully frozen by the time they reached me, though it was late Spring in central Texas so that's no big shock. I immediately put them in the freezer after delivery and they were fine. I used many of them to make Green Chile Stew for a crowd, and it was awesome! Plan on using the remaining chiles to make some enchiladas!

I intend to order more, probably when the weather is a little cooler! Note that the roasted Sandia chiles I ordered were pretty darn hot - not for sensitive palates! I plan on ordering some Sandia and some Big Jim or maybe Joe Parker to mix together next time.

I was only introduced to this New Mexican Chile a year ago. Now, no matter what kind of hatch chiles I get (green, red, or both … whole or chopped) I use in just about everything I cook: meatloaf,hamburgers, casseroles, Mac and cheese, pasta dishes, etc. My husband and I just love their flavor and heat. I get the fire roasted chopped for general cooking, and whole roasted and peeled for Chile rellenos. The customer service is wonderful as well. I am a very happy customer!

The rellenos arrived in excellent condition. Packaged well. Very easy to prepare, and smell soooo good while cooking - makes me even more homesick! Delicious! Would like hotter chile, but that's just me. These are intense for me to make at home; happy to be able to order online for delivery. They were shipped from Ohio - I understand why, I was just disappointed not to be able to watch the progress of my order making its way to me from Dona Ana County. Have purchased twice, and will buy again.

I love these Chile Rellenos! I grew up in Alamogordo, N.M. and now live in Alabama. People here have never heard of a Chile Rellenos! I ordered a dozen to begin with. My second order was doubled. I was a little disappointed as 15 chili's were slit through the coating. A couple of them, while frying, the cheese leaked out, but I'll keep ordering!!! My 3rd order is another double order and I can't wait for them to get here. They were ordered on 6/30, I believe.
