The red chili sauce is outstanding, I have used so many of their products and love them all. Shipping is always timely, and everything is always packaged so well. I’ve never had a broken bottle which is quite amazing. Highly recommend!!

This was my second order of hatch chili. I pre-ordered 20 lbs at the start of the season as well as some Big Jims. I normally order the Big Jims but wanted to try a little hotter and Sandia came through! All roasted, in the freezer and some passed onto my kids.

I bought two 25-lb. orders of Big Jim and two 25-lb. orders of Charger this season. I really can’t tell the difference in flavor and I am a New Mexican girl who loves her chile. Whatever you buy from The Hatch Chile store will be delicious. Their service is second to none. I just hope what I put up lasts until next season (!). I waited until a lot of it turned red before I roasted it. So yummy!

First time user and was a little disappointed that a few of the kernels were still hard,, but it is not the product, it taste great, nice color and filling,, the problem is I am not sure how to rehydrate it, I soaked in over night, boiled it a few minutes, let it cool, then added it to to the soup I was cooking, vegetable beef I think, and like a mentioned a few kernels were still hard,, but none the less the blue hominy was good.

The chile I received was NOT medium hot but, Mild. I called Customer service and was told they would give me a small discount if I ordered the hot. No thanks, No quality control. The man I spoke to was indifferent to my complaint.

Beautiful, plump dried red chilis in an elegant braid. Lovely to look at, but I will whittle away at it during the year to make rojo for enchiladas and other yummy New Mexican food!

Good Morning!
I'm hesitant to write an honest review. However, as a huge green chile fan and supporter of the Hatch Chile Store, I hope this will help with your production and service. On a very positive note, I was thoroughly impressed by the speed in which my emails were answered. I, also, like how I can receive credits, after referring friends and family to order from the Hatch Chile Store. These are excellent qualities and incentives.
However, somewhere along the line, communication became confusing. Specifically, the phrase "first in, first out" was used quite frequently, when inquiring about when my order would be shipped. Honestly, I thought I had ordered early enough to receive my green chile products in a timely manner. I guess I was wrong. Yes, I understand that the weather and the pandemic constraints played a huge negative factor. For a chile addict, this delay was painful. Thankfully, as an optimist, I look forward to next year's smoother timeline.
Once i received my order, I questioned the quality of the product. To date, I have used two bags of roasted, peeled, and chopped green chile. Oh, my goodness. Both bags were filled with endless seeds and excessive skins. I have never experienced such poor quality of a finished green chile product. As a result, the taste and flavor experience was hampered and had a low-key impact. Again, as a green chile addict, the anticipated high was a true let down.
Finally, I feel the Mesilla Valley citizens are being ignored, when it comes to shopping locally for green chile products. I desperately miss having a small retail shop to purchase our roasted, peeled, and chopped green chile. To learn that the green chile needed to be shipped from Sacramento or Ohio or other distribution centers is disheartening. Please consider reopening a local shop for a few months to accommodate locals who want to shop here in the valley. If you need help, I would love to volunteer my time. Perhaps others would be interested, too.
Please take care and stay healthy!
All the best,

The 5lbs of Hatch Chiles were delivered fast, VERY FRESH, and taste great. We are so happy to now have a place every year to purchase fresh Hatch peppers. These are many times better than any that we have purchased in the past at our local grocery stores.

This chile is of great quality. Buyer beware though, hot was closer to med, than hot. But in a Covid year, we all make sacrifices. Thank you for being there for us!

Anaheim Chile has always been my favorite Chile. The hotter the better. Making green Chile tamales, Chile Relleno, Chile verde, and green Chile stew is so much easier with your roasted peeled packs.
For years, my family and I noticed, when we buy fresh chiles or your packs, when you buy ‘hot’, you really get 70% mild, and 30% hot. That’s why we like to buy extra hot chiles, then you get 15% mild, 55% hot, and 30% extra hot.

I was unfortunately very disappointed this year with how long it took to get my shipment and the quality of the chili's. Besides waiting over two months for my shipment which I can understand because of COVID, I ordered Hot chili and they were not very favorable this year or hot. Not sure exactly what happened since I have been a happy customer in the past.

The green chili chicken tamales were very good, expected them to be a little spicier though, I serve them with fried eggs. Next time I’ll add a little more green chili. Thank you

These are unquestionably Big Jim! Sampling after roasting while cleaning and cutting for vacuum sealing and freezing Had the full range from what taste as lower medium to lower hot heat levels! Am planing on using for Posole Rojo in the future.

The flavor of this chili is and always has been wonderful. My past orders were as they should be. Unfortunately this time the chopped and cleaned was only chopped. A bit difficult to clean after the fact. In order to prepare the chili for the freeze dryer, I must first thaw it so I can clean all the charred bits of skin from each batch... A bit labor intensive! But as I have said, chili flavor is wonderful.

This was my first time ordering hatch peppers ever. I'm now in love with them and I can't say how great my buying experience was with The Hatch Chili Store! Peppers arrived on time, well packaged, and fresh as could be! I certainly will be ordering from them again next year!

I finally gave in to my "chile addiction" and ordered some relents from Hatch Chile.
My order was filled incorrectly so I contacted the company. Briefly, their customer service was great - I got a replacement order quickly and the representative was both friendly and concerned. The chile was great by the way! I'll definitely purchase from Hatch Chile again.

Excellent flavor but would have liked it to be a little more hot. Great customer service. The time and effort in packing and shipping resulted in the chili arriving in perfect condition all the way to Alaska.

I look forward to getting my order of Hatch Green Chile’s In late summer. They are so flavorful and tasty! I use them in my favorite appetizers, baked cheese and egg dish with Roasted Green Chile’s. Great on breakfast eggs, quesadillas, and microwaved chips and cheese with salsa.

They are the best tasting ones I've come across for home use. However, I was surprised to find I have been buying these at my local Safeway, I believe at a reduced price. They have not been available since covid - so was delighted to get them when I ordered from you!
