I buy the dried red Chile pods to make sauce at home, but with the great deal on shipping I added a jar. This is great for when I’m lazy and don’t have time to make the sauce myself. Delicious and holds for a while in the fridge!

Best Dang Chile!
After a trip to Colorado, I came with a hankering for green chile. It was April and the chiles were not in season. I found the Hatch Chile Store and had a box of frozen green chile in 3 days. Exactly as promised!

It's so convenient to have the child chopped and ready to use. I couldn't decide in a 4 or 5 rating . Went with the 5 since it's not Hatches fault that Cover
COVID restrictions have them comply with social distancing. It's so much easier to scrape off the few seeds and pieces of "skin" myself than to do it all

I was most disappointed that the tamales were wrapped in parchment paper not in corn husks. The corn husks add flavor and are so much better. The first time we bought them from you they were wrapped in real corn husks.

The perfect tortilla. The green chile does not overwhelm, but gives it the perfect little zip that I love when eating Mexican food - just enough to let you know it is there, bursting with flavor and giving off some warmth but not too much. Perfect addition to enchiladas, tacos or just about anything!!

This Hatch Green Chile is delicious and getting it chopped takes all the work out of it. I got a box of medium (which is closer to mild) and a box of hot and I combine them so I have two boxes of true medium chile. I've made unbelievable green chile sauce to go with my Hatch tamales, and we've been having yummo breakfast burritos. I miss living in New Mexico and Colorado but I'm not going to miss having my Hatch Green Chile!

Haven't used the replacements yet. Plan making Chili Adovada soon. Hope the NM chile powder is the secret. Wish I were at La Posada in Las Cruces for some of this dish. It does still exist, yes> Or was that the name of the place.? It has been a "few" years :) v

I made my first batch of chiles, it had no favor? Very little favor. Did not have that

IN ALL HONESTY ANYTHING HATCH GREEN CHILE IS BOMB!!! WE SERIOUSLY LOVE ALL THE FOOD PRODUCTS! THEY’RE MADE WITH HATCH LOVE! Since my husband is originally from New Mexico he’s probably just as big a FAN OF HATCH CHILE!! Hands down !!! Our only suggestion is place a sprinkle of cornmeal on the bottom of the pizza crust to give it a crunch factor! Other than that the Green Chile pizza is yummy delicious !
We got some of our friends in East Bay CA. to order Hatch green Chile too !!!

It was nice to have stuffed green chiles in the freezer ready to eat, but they weren’t that great. Breading was tough and not very eggy and cheese filling was quite bland. It would be easy to improve the filling by adding more flavorful cheeses to the mix, like asiago, feta or casera.

The way the chile is processed for it to be frozen makes it taste like it had been "freeze dried" then rehydrated in an ice bath, leaving the texture of the chile not fresh tasting.
